The Mischling (2009)
The Mischling is my first novel which was shortlisted in the UK Authors Opening Pages competition in 2009. The novel is set in Frankfurt in Germany in the year of 1936. It tells the story of three families living during the onset of Nazism and how it is changing their lives. Everything is thrown into turmoil as it emerges that one of them is a Mischling, the German word for someone of mixed race.
